Noesis has officially inaugurated its sixth office in Portugal, choosing the city of Guarda as its latest strategic location. This expansion marks a significant milestone for the company, reinforcing its commitment to growth, innovation, and investment in Portugal's economy.
The grand opening ceremony occurred at the new premises, attended by the Noesis' board, CEO Alexandre Rosa, CTO Nelson Pereira, and CFO Luís Castro. Also present were the Mayor of Guarda, Sérgio Costa, the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Modernization, Alberto Rodrigues da Silva, and the President of Instituto Politécnico da Guarda, Joaquim Brigas. Their presence underscored the importance of this investment not only for the company but also for the Beira Interior region and the broader national economy.
For Noesis, the decision to open another office in Portugal is a testament to its confidence in the country’s economic landscape and skilled workforce. Alexandre Rosa highlighted the significance of this expansion, stating: “We are a multinational group, but Portugal is our base, and that is our DNA. That is why we invest in the creation of these decentralized competence centers, outside major urban areas, closer to universities and polytechnic institutes, where we can recruit talent, create jobs, train top professionals, and at the same time contribute to the development of the local economy and the country's interior. We want to play our part in encouraging young people to settle in the interior regions.”
The new facility is expected to create numerous job opportunities, attracting professionals in several areas of expertise, like Low Code, Quality Management and DevOps & Automation, with the addition of around 30 new talents, in the first year. Currently, Noesis has approximately 70 employees across the Beira Interior region, Covilhã, Guarda, and Castelo Branco. This move will also facilitate stronger collaboration with local educational institutions, particularly the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, to foster talent development and research initiatives.
The opening of this office represents a significant boost for Guarda’s local economy and Sérgio Costa, the mayor of Guarda, welcomed the investment, emphasizing its impact on employment and innovation: “This is a proud moment for Guarda. Attracting leading companies like Noesis strengthens our city’s economic foundation and opens new doors for our community. We are excited about the opportunities this will bring to local talent. Together we will be certainly stronger, and I want to thank Noesis for that.”
The Secretary of State for Digitalization and Modernization, Alberto Rodrigues da Silva, also congratulated Noesis on its “strategic decision to drive growth through territorial distribution and for contributing to reducing inequalities in the Beira Interior Region”.
As Noesis continues to expand, this latest opening marks another step in its commitment to innovation and sustainable business growth. The company’s ongoing investments in Portugal are a strong indication of its trust in the country’s potential as a leading business hub in Europe.
With the addition of the Guarda office, Noesis now boasts a total of six locations in Portugal: Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto, Covilhã and Proença-a-Nova, solidifying even more its footprint in the country. The company looks forward to integrating with the local community, fostering economic development, and driving forward its mission of innovation and excellence.
